Catwalk competition to raise funds to protect Missouri River

Design teams from Aveda salons in Sioux City, Iowa will display their skill in hair care, makeup and fashion on April 2 as their models compete on the catwalk in an event that will raise money to protect the Missouri River.


Design teams from Aveda salons in Sioux City, Iowa will display their skill in hair care, makeup and fashion on April 2 as their models compete on the catwalk in an event that will raise money to protect the Missouri River.

Proceeds from the annual Catwalk for Water event will go to the Audubon Society as a way to honor Earth Month, the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce said.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Marina Inn in South Sioux City and will include a cocktail hour and shopping. Tickets cost $15 individually or two for $25 when purchased in advance. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20.

Seats in two VIP rows can be purchased in advance for $25.

Teams from the Loft by Belle Touche Salon & Spa and Belle Touche-Lakeport Commons will be taking part in the event.
