Northeast Iowa Community College recently took home several awards after its students won big at the 2017 National Postsecondary Agriculture Students Conference in St. Charles, Mo.


Northeast Iowa Community College recently took home several awards after its students won big at the 2017 National Postsecondary Agriculture Students Conference in St. Charles, Mo.

Teams of students from NICC's John Deer TECH program placed first, second and seventh in the agriculture machinery service technician competition. The first-place team included Dakota Kalis and Brian Remmington. James Bearbower and Garret Thompson placed second, and Logan Clancy and Luke Asche finished seventh.

Several other NICC students placed in the conference. Two student teams also competed in the equine specialist and livestock specialist competitions.
