Computer hardware manufacturer Crystal Group Inc. has produced a white paper on how branch military organizations are using hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) to manage and protect data found in the field.
There is a large amount of data being collected in these extreme environments, and collecting storing the information has become increasingly harder to do, according to a news release. These growing data sets are relied on by professionals in the field and in offices throughout the world.
The HCI devices allows information to be consolidated into a similar system and it creates the ability for information to be sent faster and more efficient. The advanced software takes advance of the internet and several other components that military organizations were not able to access efficiently.
The paper, "Hyperconverged Infrastructure Brings Enterprise Cloud to Tactical Environments," also contains insight on HCI systems and how cost-efficient they are, how to select a HCI system and the capacity and security possess.
