Vesterheim, Decorah’s national Norwegian-American museum and heritage center, will open its doors during the 51st annual Nordic Fest on July 27.
Attendees will see vikings and folk artists while enjoying cultural treats. The celebration will display Nordic traditions and have plenty of fun things to do, according to a press release.
The museum will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with free admission the day of the festival. Special events and a showing will be held July 28-29 and will include musical guests, books signings and storytelling. Vesterheim's Open Air Division of 12 historic buildings is open from noon-4 p.m. July 28-29.
