Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program (IIAP) has dedicated funds to several Iowa counties affected by storms that hit the area this month.

The disaster funds were made a priority after Gov. Kim Reynolds declared Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette and Winneshiek counties as disaster areas July 20, according to an announcement. IIAP was made a part of the clean-up. Residents who were affected by the July 19 storms could be eligible to apply for the program to help pay for damage to their property.

Households must be in the declared disaster areas, and residents must meet the income qualifications. The program will supply a maximum of $5,000 per household.

Applications will be accepted until Sept. 6.

For more information on the guidelines and income qualifications, call NEICAC’s David Boss at 563-382-8436, ext. 116.
