Des Moines' Global Insurance Accelerator has been named a finalist in the ICC World Chambers Federation’s World Chambers Competition.
The company is a finalist for the Best Unconventional Project category, which would make it the only U.S. team to make it to the finals, according to an announcement.
The accelerator focuses on local and international startups in the global insurance industry. It is one of 18 finalists in the ICC competition, which recognizes innovative projects that have been developed by the industry.
Finalists will present their projects to an audience, business leaders and judges during the biannual World Chambers Congress in Sydney from Sept. 19-21.
“It is a great honor to be a finalist for the World Chambers Competition and be recognized alongside outstanding initiatives in countries across the globe,” Brian Hemesath, managing director of the Global Insurance Accelerator, said in the announcement. “It is a powerful statement that so many key players in the insurance industry have committed to supporting the accelerator and moving the industry forward globally.”
