Meredith Corp. partners with FGX International for new eyewear brand
Media and marketing company Meredith Corp. has entered a licensing deal with FGX International, the owner and designer of the wildly popular Foster Grant eyewear collection.
The two companies have partnered to produce a new line of sunglasses, called SHAPE, according to a press release.
The line will focus on athleisure eyewear that combines style with performance for active women. The frames are lightweight and flexible, scratch-resistant and are equipped with anti-slip nose pads.
"Today's announcement builds on the momentum of the SHAPE media brand and the successful launch of SHAPE's first licensing program for women's athleisure apparel," Elise Contarsy, vice president of Meredith's Brand Licensing division, said in a press release. "Sunglasses and their accessories are a natural adjacency to our clothing program, and we look to add more adjacent product categories to extend the SHAPE brand reach."
SHAPE brand is available in select stores in the U.S., with the full collection hitting stores by summer 2018.
