Iowa boutiques recently made it to the final round of the 2017 Boutique Awards.

The Turquoise Tractor of Sioux City and Treynor, recognized for its eclectic style and global appeal, was a contender for Iowa Online Boutique of the Year and Iowa Boutique of the Year. Bad Habit Boutique ultimately won the award.

The Boutique Awards honor independent retail owners in the fashion world who have made great strides in the industry, according to a press release. The event recognizes the boutiques in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

The Turquoise Tractor, which sells western and country fashions, is owned by Meagan Pieper and Ashley Boehm. The establishment opened in April 2016.

"Ashley and I have big dreams for our store but never did we think it would grow as fast and as far as it has,” Pieper said in the release. “We ship all over the country and even to other countries. We're so honored to represent Iowa for these awards and thankful to all our customers for voting and nominating us.”
