Sioux City recently announced that the Promenade Improvement Project has been completed.
The enhancements completed in downtown Sioux City include additional green space, improved stormwater drainage and improved infrastructure, according to a press release.
The project was an effort between Sioux City and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. Stewardship’s Water Quality Initiative Program also assisted, and blueprints were designed by ISG Consulting Group.
Educational signs will be designed and put up within the next few months. They will feature “a profile view of the bioretention areas that will provide an explanation of their function and a list of native plants that have been used throughout the project,” according to the release.
