Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.

Nominate a deserving woman for the 2018 ATHENA Awards® and a deserving man for the 2018 Male Champion of Change award. Nominations will remain open until February 20, 2018, with the announcement of nominees being made on March 1.

The newly formatted ATHENA and Male Champion of Change Awards program sponsored by Merrill Lynch | Bank of America will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Waterfront Convention Center, beginning at 5:30pm with a cocktail and networking hour, followed by dinner and program beginning at 7:00pm.

Presented by Iowa Women Lead Change (IWLC) the ATHENA Awards program, in affiliation with ATHENA International, elevates and honors women who are setting a gold standard in their business and community leadership, and who are helping to bring along the next generation of women leaders.

If you know a woman who serves as a role model to other women and embodies creativity and innovation that contributes to the growth of her profession, nominate her for the ATHENA award. Again this year, the Male Champion of Change Award will be presented to a regional man who exhibits exceptional commitment to the acceleration of women in leadership, and who utilizes his influence, talents and abilities to enhance gender diversity.

Take a moment to nominate a deserving leader.

The 2018 ATHENA and Male Champion of Change Awards Program follows the inaugural one-day IWLC Quad-Cities Women’s Leadership Conference, featuring keynote presentation by award-winning journalist Tamron Hall.
