About 31.9 percent of the 1,498 degrees and certificates handed out by the Eastern Iowa Community College District in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Davenport conferred 478 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 478 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 83 certificates in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician and 61 certificates in Truck and Bus Driver/Commercial Vehicle Operator and Instructor.

The college enrolled 7,872 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
