About 61.3 percent of the 137 degrees and certificates handed out by the Kaplan University-Cedar Falls Campus in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Falls conferred 41 associate's degrees and 23 bachelor's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 34 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 15 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 9 certificates in Medical/Clinical Assistant.

The university enrolled 277 students for 2016-17, including 245 in undergraduate programs and 32 in graduate programs.
