About 45.9 percent of the 562 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Dubuque in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Dubuque conferred 143 master's degrees and 115 bachelor's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations, Other. Data shows the school gave out 143 master's degrees in Business Administration, Management and Operations, Other, followed by 71 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 24 bachelor's degrees in Accounting.

The university enrolled 2,294 students for 2016-17, including 1,924 in undergraduate programs and 370 in graduate programs.
