Graduates earn 639 degrees, certificates from Morningside College


About 63.7 percent of the 639 degrees and certificates handed out by the Morningside College in 2016-17 were to students in Education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in City conferred 357 master's degrees and 50 bachelor's degrees in Education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Education, Other. Data shows the school gave out 188 master's degrees in Education, Other, followed by 72 master's degrees in Education/Teaching of Individuals with Emotional Disturbances and 57 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General.

The college enrolled 2,902 students for 2016-17, including 1,321 in undergraduate programs and 1,581 in graduate programs.
