55 percent of applicants to Morningside College were admitted for fall 2017


At Morningside College, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Sioux City enrolled 2,788 students in fall 2017, including 1,322 in undergraduate and 1,466 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

51 percent of undergraduates are residents of Iowa, and 44 percent are residents of other states. 5 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 55 percent of the 4,603 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 14 percent enrolled.
