72 percent of applicants to Dordt College were admitted for fall 2017


At Dordt College, 98 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Sioux Center enrolled 1,533 students in fall 2017, including 1,448 in undergraduate and 85 in graduate programs, data shows. 2.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

39 percent of undergraduates are residents of Iowa, and 53 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (82 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (3 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 1,443 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 36 percent enrolled.
