61 percent of applicants to Saint Ambrose University were admitted for fall 2017


At Saint Ambrose University, 88 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Davenport enrolled 3,114 students in fall 2017, including 2,368 in undergraduate and 746 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

29 percent of undergraduates are residents of Iowa, and 69 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 61 percent of the 5,335 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
