Graduates earn 347 degrees from Loras College


About 24.8 percent of the 347 degrees and certificates handed out by Loras College in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Dubuque conferred 73 bachelor's degrees and 13 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 28 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 23 bachelor's degrees in elementary education and teaching and 19 bachelor's degrees in sport and fitness administration/management.

The college enrolled 1,467 students for 2017-18, including 1,397 in undergraduate programs and 70 in graduate programs.
