Graduates earn 674 degrees from Buena Vista University


About 28.5 percent of the 674 degrees and certificates handed out by Buena Vista University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Lake conferred 186 bachelor's degrees and 6 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies. Data shows the school gave out 97 bachelor's degrees in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies, followed by 79 bachelor's degrees in elementary education and teaching and 52 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The university enrolled 1,982 students for 2017-18, including 1,804 in undergraduate programs and 178 in graduate programs.
