Graduates earn 1,529 degrees, certificates from Upper Iowa University


About 41.9 percent of the 1,529 degrees and certificates handed out by Upper Iowa University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Fayette conferred 389 bachelor's degrees and 195 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 198 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 128 bachelor's degrees in general human services and 107 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The university enrolled 4,943 students for 2017-18, including 4,271 in undergraduate programs and 672 in graduate programs.
