Graduates earn 514 degrees from Mount Mercy University


About 39.3 percent of the 514 degrees and certificates handed out by Mount Mercy University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Rapids conferred 140 bachelor's degrees and 62 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 67 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 42 bachelor's degrees in clinical nurse leader and 41 bachelor's degrees in general business/commerce.

The university enrolled 1,848 students for 2017-18, including 1,517 in undergraduate programs and 331 in graduate programs.
