Lyon County, Iowa had a population of 11,745 people in 2017, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Iowa Business Daily.

The median age was 37, with 48.8 percent of the total population being female and 51.2 percent male.

The state’s total population in 2017 was 3,118,102.
