14.1 percent of Iowa Central Community College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018


In 2017-2018, 14.1 percent of Iowa Central Community College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Iowa Central Community College has a total student body of 5,390 students, of which 51 percent are women and 49 percent are men. Of these students, 564 men and 198 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.
